- Do you hire new graduates from nursing schools?
No, we do not hire new graduates. Home healthcare requires the nurses to be able to work independently so we require at least one year of experience in a supervised setting. However, during nursing school, many individuals find it quite rewarding to get hands-on experience working for our organization as a Home Health Aide

- What qualifications do you require for hire?
Qualifications vary based on the position. However, many positions require at least 1 year of health care experience.
- Does the VNA offer Home Care Aide certification training classes?
No, we do not offer training classes at this time.
- What is the starting pay rate for RNs?
Depending on qualifications and experience, starting rates will be discussed individually with candidates of interest.
- Does the VNA require Home Health Aides to be certified?
Hospice Home Health Aides must be State Tested Nurses Assistants with Hospice experience. Personal Care Assistants do not have to be certified, but candidates must have at least one year of experience in a health care setting.
- Must I have a vehicle in order to do home care?
Yes. All individuals providing home care services must have their own vehicles, a valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
- What shifts are available for Personal Care Assistants?
All Personal Care Assistants must be willing to work part-time, 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 7:30am-5pm, as well as every other weekend.
